My Beef Curry Recipe

So guys this is the first ever recipe I’ve written on this blog.My beef curry recipe isn’t like most as I’ve put my own twist to it, hope you like it. If you try out this recipe feel free to send me your pictures or comments.

— Begin by first preparing your beef stock.

For the beef stock:

Ingredients :

  • 4 red peppers
  • 1 onion bulb
  • 2 Knorr maggi cubes
  • Scent leaves (compulsory)
  • 1 spoon of curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 grounded ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic


  • Pound/grind the red peppers along with the ginger and garlic.
  • Cut the onions and scent leaves into small cubes.
  • Season the meat with the garlic, ginger, maggi cubes, onions, scent leaves, salt and pepper.
  • Allow to cook for 40minutes till soft.

— While the beef is boiling prepare your other ingredients for the stew.

For the stew :

Ingredients :

  • 1 bell pepper
  • 5 red peppers
  • 1 bulb of onions
  • 1 grounded ginger
  • Scent leaves (not compulsory)
  • 1 and a half handful of crayfish
  • 1teaspoon of salt
  • 4 spoons of tin tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons of curry powder
  • 1 cube of Maggi
  • Beef stock

Preparation :

  • Grind the peppers, onions, ginger and crayfish together to create a paste.

At this point the meat should be boiled, separate the stock from the meat.

  • Cut the meat into smaller pieces as desired.
  • Put a suitable amount of oil on low heat and fry the beef until brown.Add some of the onions, scent leaf and ginger then allow to fry for three minutes.
  • Add the grounded ingredients and allow to fry for another 2minutes.
  • Add 4 spoons of tomato paste(tin tomato) and allow to fry together for two more minutes.
  • Add the meat stock and other ingredients (salt, Maggi cube and curry) .
  • Allow to boil for 15minutes, then add the remaining onions and scent leaves .
  • Simmer for extra 5minutes and remove from heat.

Serve with rice or any other food of your choice.
